Cultured city or friendly small town – Promenade Towers residents have the best of both worlds. The advantages of city living are close by in downtown Portland – we enjoy the symphony, popular concerts, plays, festivals, parades, art galleries, the Portland Museum of Art, numerous restaurants, and too many trendy shops to count.  From our famous Old Port shopping district, it’s a short ferry ride to the islands of Casco Bay.

At the same time, we enjoy the small-town feel of Munjoy Hill, our historic Portland neighborhood.  Many properties on the Hill are being renovated and the area is growing in popularity. It is a short walk to a variety of restaurants including Jing Yan Tavern, The Front Room, and The Shop by Island Creek Oysters, as well as a small grocery store Rosemont Market & Bakery  and a number of coffee shops, including Forage Market, Belleville, and Double Great Coffee.  Other frequent destinations are the The Hill Arts, a performing arts venue, and the historic Portland Observatory.

We can walk downtown to the Portland Public Library or ride the Portland Metro which stops at our corner (at Eastern Promenade and Walnut).

Families, young professionals, and retirees alike appreciate our location across from the Eastern Promenade Park. The park offers tennis courts, a basketball court, ball fields, a playground, a boat ramp, picnic tables, and East End Beach. Near the water’s edge is the Eastern Prom Trail which is popular for walking, running, rollerblading, or bicycling (with water views as a bonus). This trail connects between the Old Port and the also popular Back Cove Trail. Thousands flock to the park every 4th of July to watch the city’s spectacular fireworks that can also be seen from our towers, grounds, and pool.

Our units have outstanding views of Casco Bay, including ocean sunrises, lighthouses, islands, ferries, tankers, tugboats, giant cruise ships, and tiny sailboats. In the other direction we look over the city, Back Cove, and sunsets over Mt. Washington.
